Când valurile mării
Se vor lovi de stânci,
Iubite să mă strigi
Şi voi veni îndată;
Să laşi uşa descuiată
În inimioara ta,
Căci floarea iubirii
Nu se va usca,
Dacă o vom uda!

Când râurile limpezi

Vor curge la vale,
Să-mi ieşi iubite în cale,
S-aprinzi luminile din cer,
Să distrugi porţile de fier!

Când răul temnicer
Care păzeşte fericirea
Se va împotrivi
Să ne dea înapoi iubirea,
Vom folosi împuternicirea
De la Dumnezeu;

Când drumul meu
Se va intersecta cu al tău,
Vei vedea că nu e greu
Să mergem împreună
Pe Saturn, pe Marte sau pe Lună;

Când nu va exista nicio minciună
Între noi, îţi vei da seama
Că din doi nebuni îndrăgostiţi
